My little love letter to the company

Maybe it’s the beautiful warm days we’ve had? Maybe it’s the downtime I have in this show? Maybe DC just looks good through the lens? Whatever the reason, I have taken out my camera frequently while I’ve been here in DC.

While normally I shoot straight up photographs then monkey around with them in Lightroom or Photoshop, here in DC, I have shot more video than still photos. I filled up a lot of disk space with footage from my time here at the Shakespeare Theatre.

Here is my little love letter to the entire company at STC:

TWO more weeks for TWO Gents

Two Gentlemen of Verona at Shakespeare Theater

Well we are just about wrapping up here in Washington DC at the Shakespeare Theatre and soon I will be on that Amtrak train back to Brooklyn. If you happen to find yourself in out Nation’s capitol sometime in the next two weeks, come by check out our crazy production.

Reasons to catch this production include:

  • It is quite funny
  • There’s Lots of underage drinking
  • This dog is in the show
  • There are lots of guns
  • And lots of blood
  • I drunkenly sing a random pop song that pops in my mind just before my entrance (here is a list of songs I’ve done so far)

I’ve had a great time with this phenomenal cast. I will miss them when it is all over.

Hope to see you there!

Jefferson in the water

If you can tell, this is the Jefferson memorial. Really, it is the reflection of the memorial in the tidal basin. I took this late night photo of the whole memorial on Monday night.  I steadied the camera on the guard rail of a bridge to get a crisp shot. Then after I looked at it, i decided that the reflection was more interesting than the actual memorial.
